Hi, I am Louis Boucquet and I love photography. Ever since I could get my hands on any sort of camera, I've always been obsessed by how it worked. I remember the analog cameras and lenses lying around the house. I never saw them in action though, they were quickly replaced by a digital pocket camera. It would take another few years for me to start trying to figure out what the different setting on the camera did. Shortly thereafter, my parents bought me a "real" camera, a DSLR with interchangeable lenses. Being a rather technical person, I scoured the internet for every bit of technical information I could find. This deep fascination gives me the confidence that, at the very least on a technical level, I know what I'm doing!
It's my job as a photographer to capture the moment and tweak the colors, so you can remember that moment in the way you want.
Once you've mastered the technical side of photography you can start looking at less tangible ways to improve your work. In my case I started chasing the nostalgic "Analog" look, as can still be found in many of my pictures. You should be able to edit your photos in a style that matches the vibe that you're going for. Use faded colors for nostalgic emotional memories, use bright warm colors for happy event memories. Every memory in the form of a picture needs to convey a certain feel.
